Heritage Days
The Bellevue Heritage Days Celebration is an annual event which brings families and friends from several states together to celebrate the Fourth of July.  The activities are spread over two days and offer a variety of attractions and venues for the celebration. 

The first day usually includes carnival rides at Cole Park, the Bellevue Heritage Day Queen Contest, a dance at the American Legion Hall, an outdoor street dance located downtown at the Bellevue Municipal Parking Lot.  Refreshments and food are available.

The second day starts off with the Heritage Days Parade.  Cole Park is the venue for carnival rides, children’s games, Bingo, Showdown, concession stands, food stands, live music in the beer tent, a flag-raising dedication ceremony held by the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department, FFA petting zoo, area dance team performances, free swimming at Bellevue Municipal Pool, auto extrication by the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department, Fish of the Mississippi demonstration by the Iowa DNR, a Garden Tractor Pull, antique tractor / classic car / motorcycle displays and judging, Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce drawing for $100 Chamber Bucks certificates, Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce Raffle Drawing for a new car or $15,000 cash, music downtown along riverfront, Bellevue water ski show just south of the lock and dam, flag burning ceremony by the Bellevue American Legion at the Bellevue Municipal Boat Ramp Parking Lot and the spectacular fireworks display at dusk just south of the lock and dam along the riverbank.  It’s one of the largest and best displays in the area - WOW!

Raffle drawings are held annually as part of Bellevue Heritage Days.  Prizes are awarded at summer outdoor events and the grand prize ticket is drawn just prior to the Heritage Days fireworks display.  Contact the Chamber office for current information.
