Our community prides itself on being recognized for its outstanding “celebration of life.” Many people from all walks of life come to our town for the inspiration and creativity it provides. Celebrate the arts by joining us for the Bellevue Arts Council-sponsored "Fishtival, a Celebration of Fish and the Mississippi River" in August or a Dinner Theater event. Enjoy the music and activities of Coming Home to Bellevue, or food and wine and music at the Vineyard Events at both of our member wineries. Dates are shown in the Calendar.
Bellevue and its wide variety of festivals can best be described as four seasons of fun. With church gatherings, parades, music, and good home cooking, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to attend our Heritage Days Celebration with fireworks and parade, the Jackson County Pro Rodeo, St. Joseph Parish Pork Roast (largest in Iowa), and the Holiday Tour of Homes, Gallery of Trees and Lighted Parade. It is a great way to experience life along the Mississippi River.
